Ah the joys of school holidays, much as I love my children having them underfoot when I'm trying to concentrate on what I'm doing is somewhat trying! Tomorrow in a futile bid to drag them away from the digital devices they are attached to like life support we are doing the Eastern Okataina walkway which the other half tells me is beautiful. Link attached if you want to see http://www.doc.govt.nz/parks-and-recreation/tracks-and-walks/bay-of-plenty/rotorua-lakes/lake-okataina-tramping-tracks/. Craig is taking the camcorder so hopefully will post pictures etc if I actually survive the experience.
It will be a whole day trip about 10km in total walking, supposedly mostly flat but I will believe it when I see it. We start on the eastern side of Lake Okataina and walk through to Lake Tarawera then turn around and head back! Again if I survive pictures will be posted.

Sew, sew, sew a lot!
Here I am sitting in front of the computer instead of finishing the four sewing projects currently on the go, 3 will wait, the fourth a fluffy white onsie with a pink lined hood and ears will not. The onesie is for my 14 year old princess, that is right not four - fourteen! For some inexplicable reason known only to teenage girls these one piece monstrosities are fashionable, swag, hipster or whatever they want to call it. The fluffy stuff is a curse to sew, already unpicked the front because I sewed the facings on the wrong way. So an hour of unpicking while I watched Game of Thrones, nothing like a bit of violence and blood to unpick seams to.
When it finally gets finished a photo may get posted if any of the cameras or phones in the house will cooperate with me long enough to get pictures taken. My husband and kids don't get my hopelessness with photographic devices, I get them to take and upload photos then there is no problem. If I take them then it is a completely different story one without a pretty ending either.
Anyway enough of my blather until I solve my photographic issues I will leave you with a picture (courtesy of Google) that looks just like my resident Tui. He serenades us every morning and does the rounds of the garden feeding on whatever in in flower at the moment. Bye for now.
